An experienced and capable designer looking to develop with, and contribute to a stimulating design studio.

  1. Freelancer since 2004, taking on challenging projects in a variety of media for clients such as DKNY and Oasis as well as private commissions.

  2. Working with established companies designing products for Habitat, Innermost, TFL and Anthropologie in the US.

  3. Products stocked at independent retailers.

  4. Founded the FuseDesignCollective in 2004, a shared network of specialist knowledge and experience to support young designers develop creatively together.


My approach to design


  1. Hard working, ambitious, outgoing, with a passion for creativity and learning.

  2. I thrive on new challenges and enjoy working with people with high expectations.

  3. A keen craftsman and designer, I have enjoyed producing one-offs as well as production pieces.

  4. Working with sketch objects helps visualise and develop designs. I enjoy seeing projects leave paper, go through the mocking up/prototyping stage and into reality.

Assisting on the exhibition stand during the London Design Festival & Frieze Art Fair.

Assisting the design and setup of an exhibition at the V&A Museum.

Workshop manager, running a busy Fulham Road cycle maintenance workshop.

  2. An excellent understanding of electronics and lighting, including LED, compact Cold Cathode and Fibre Optics.

  3. Skilled craftsman, with substantial knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.

  4. Combining industrial processes into the design of products: water jet and laser cutting, metal forming, welding and digital ceramic printing.

  5. I have also utilised demanding materials such as carbon fibre, titanium and plastics  and composite materials.

Interests


As well as enjoying most aspects of the art and design world, I also have a passion for cycling, photography, food and cooking.
